PLAY: The Film, PLAY/ THE FILM, PLAY THE FILM GODDAMMIT.

(Começamos mal)

O que adiante se visionará não é um filme nem um espectáculo de teatro mas o espaço ínfimo entre os dois formatos. Um momento de interferência em que as regras aceites de bem fazer (fazer bem sem olhar a quem) coexistem enervadas e sobrepostas.
Àquilo que se enuncia logo se renuncia: propõe-se um OLHAR deslocado sobre dois objectos cuja vista se atravanca para que a sua forma original, desprovida de significado, seja apenas matéria da cena. Des/monta-se o filme através do acto teatral, e o invés. Ao filme, aliás, faz-se-lhe de tudo: cortar, colar, inverter, dobrar. Sem qualquer um dos pudores da cinefilia.
Opera-se sobretudo pela transferência de dados, quer cénicos quer textuais, entre formatos recorrendo a encontros já de si históricos como o do Vaudeville com o Musical de Hollywood, concentrando-nos na figura de maravilhoso mau gosto - o ventríloquo.
(Não se nos apresentam soluções, apenas o desejo de sublimar neste local o caos instaurado nas nossas cabeças.)

What will be seen is not a film or a theatre show but the narrowest space in between the two formats. A moment of interference in which different rules of the well made coexist.
To each enunciation, there will be an immediate renunciation: proposing a displaced LOOK over two objects, whose sight we overlap so that its original form, bared of meaning,
becomes working material. The film is re/ edited through theatre and the opposite.
Everything will, anyway, be inflicted onto the film: cut, paste, invert, dub. With no embarrassment.
This will be operated through the transference of scenic and textual data using historically connected elements of the Vaudeville and the Hollywood Musical, and mainly the
beautifully preposterous figure of the ventriloquist.
